Villages of Dorchester Homeowners Association

Villages of Dorchester is a community of 838 homes (541 townhomes and 297 single family homes) located in Hanover, MD, conveniently located near the Baltimore/Washington Parkway and Maryland routes 100 and 175. We are a diverse and welcoming community of individuals and families who strive to create a strong community of neighbors as well as an outstanding quality of life for our residents. Vision: We envision a vibrant, cohesive community that offers a rewarding quality of life, opportunities for all residents to strengthen neighborhood ties with one another, and is a desirable place in which to live and enjoy the benefits of family, friends and suburban life. Mission: Our mission is to enhance and preserve the quality of life and sense of community through effective and efficient management of the Association, enforcement of rules and covenants to preserve property values, and support initiatives and capital improvements that benefit the greater good of the community. Values: In everything we do to achieve our vision and mission we value integrity, fairness, community participation, cooperation, respect, open communication and friendship.

Board of Directors Objectives:

  • Encourage collaborative and diverse participation that includes an involved membership.
  • Encourage open, respectful and effective communication to ensure that every member of our community has a voice.
  • Create enriching opportunities for community residents.
  • Establish effective relationships with neighboring communities, local organizations, and state and local government agencies to ensure a voice for our community on issues that affect it.
  • Seek continuous improvements in effective and efficient management of the HOA.
  • Establish and maintain a strong financial foundation for all operations of the HOA.
  • Always be mindful of and working to preserve the HOA’s Vision, Mission and Values.
  • Serve in the best interests of the Association.

Community Objectives:

  • Be Good Neighbors First. There is no better substitute for resolving community issues as neighbors.
  • Volunteerism. We value participation in the HOA that extends beyond the normal commitments of being a resident.
  • Property Maintenance. Property owners/residents will maintain their respective property in accordance with our covenants, conditions and restrictions that enhances the Association and does not detract from the value of our properties or common areas.
  • Common Good. We will evaluate all issues on their merit to the Association, our Mission Vision and Values, and not with regard to any particular interest group.
