Wine & Canvas Returns to VoD – Aug 21
We are having another Paint Night event at the community center!! Friday 8/21/15 – Doors open at 6:30pm and painting starts at 7pm. Feel free to bring food and beverages of choice (adult beverages are welcome) or order dinner and have it delivered. We will be painting the sunset scene shown here. Councilman Smith to come to VoD Clubhouse re: Conference Center and Hotel – Sept 10th
Due to the diligent and quick work of some VoD residents, we’ve been able to get Councilman Smith to come address the community at large regarding the Hotel and Conference Center and answer questions. Please join us on September 10th, 2015 at 6:30pm. We’re located at 7551 Dorchester Blvd. All are encouraged to attend.

National Night Out — August 4th
We are only a few short weeks away from our second annual National Night Out event! Please join us at the VoD Community Center on Tuesday, August 4th at 5:00pm – 8:00pm. National Night Out is designed to strengthen neighborhood spirit, and send a message to criminals that Villages of Dorchester is organized and taking a stand against crime. VOD Bridge Club Is Looking for Players
Are you interested in playing party bridge in the afternoon? Party bridge is SOCIABLE bridge as opposed to the serious and silent and competitive kind of bridge. The meeting times would be two (2) Wednesday afternoons out the month most likely from 1pm to about 4pm. This a great time to play a fun game of bridge and have light fare with a great group! Community Block and Pool Party – July 19

Community Cleanup Day – April 18th
The social and events committees, in cooperation with the Board of Directors are hosting a community-wide cleanup day on Saturday, April 18th. All volunteers should meet at the Community Center at 9am for free coffee and bagels. The Association will also provide trash bags and gloves to aid in trash collection. Unfortunately, we were not able to secure additional dumpsters, but will utilize the one at the Community Center. After receiving multiple complaints about trash, it is our sincere hope that that we can come together and donate a few hours to get the community cleaned up in time for Earth day and the Spring season. 2015 VoD Application for Pool Usage
The Board of Directors has taken feedback from last year’s application process and in an effort to reduce frustration with identification and taking into consideration respect for personal information and privacy have changed the process to make it simpler, more efficient, and less intrusive, while maintaining integrity and fairness to all residents. Applications for the 2015 pool season may either be submitted via on-line forms or in person at the office. All residents must visit the management office to have their picture taken, as we are transitioning to a laminated pass with picture ID in an effort to reduce the need to keep additional photo identification with you when entering…

Pool Hours – End of Season
Just a reminder that with school back in session beginning today, August 25, 2014, the pool does not open until on weekdays. Weekend hours will remain10am – 8pm. Monday September 1, 2014 will be the final day that the pool is open, with full day hours from 10am to 8pm. Get out and enjoy the pool in these last days of summer!
