Why Zumba? Zumba is perfect for everybody and every body! Each Zumba® class is designed to bring people together to sweat it on.
How it works: We take the “work” out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you’ll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective and Super fun.
Benefits: A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.
About the instructor: Ahttiya combines moderate and high-impact routines for a highly energizing workout. “I love ALL genres of music! You will find a little bit of everything in my classes.” In 2008, Ahttiya took her first Zumba class in order to get back in shape after having her second child – and was hooked immediately. She fell in love with Zumba and started taking regular classes. From that point on it quickly became her “go to” form of exercise. Ahttiya loved that it was for every “body” and it was SO fun! She was encouraged to become an instructor by her Zumba instructor in 2009. Her sassy attitude and love for Zumba made her a perfect fit. She enjoys seeing people dance, have fun and challenge themselves! Ahttiya really likes seeing their faces when they know they’ve just gotten a great workout and had a ton fun doing it! “My goal as an instructor is to show people that exercise can be fun. And you don’t have to be a great dancer to do Zumba! It’s about all about moving, letting loose and enjoying yourself!” Ahttiya is married (14 years) and has 1 boy Rahm(13) and 1 girl Rinnari (8).
